I'm working on the idea that Neal's obsessed with his bad blood because his dad was indeed uber-bad. Know how Jeff takes his molds from pop history/culture? Back in the 80's there was the CIA guy who actually was the first CIA man to defect to Russia, Edward Lee Howard. He had one son, left behind in America with his wife Mary when he defected to Russia. Of course following Jeff's pattern, the name and details would be changed. Hee. For some reason when Elrhiarhodan did her story in which Neal's dad is an FBI baddie, that clicked with Eddie in my head. Have a book by Howard and one contra Howard, just to browse. I was busy raising children and making money during that time and remember nothing of it. Ideas?
